Workflow Automation

General-purpose automation platforms connect a marketing team's various tools together — CRM, email, ad platforms, spreadsheets, chat apps — so that a trigger in one system (a new lead, a form submission, a published blog post) automatically kicks off a chain of actions in others, without manual copy-pasting between apps. Increasingly, these platforms let a user describe a desired workflow in plain English and have AI build the multi-step automation itself, and can also be used to orchestrate other AI tools — asking a chatbot to pull data, summarize it, and push the result into a document or notification automatically. For a marketing department running many specialized point tools (a CRM, an email platform, a social scheduler, an ad platform), this category is what prevents those tools from operating in silos and turns individual AI features into coordinated, end-to-end processes. The learning curve is usually lower than custom development, but building genuinely useful automations still requires someone on the team to think through the underlying process logic, since the tool executes steps rather than designing the strategy.
