Automation platforms - Zapier, Make (formerly Integromat), and n8n - connect a PMO's various tools together (email, project management software, CRM, spreadsheets, Slack/Teams) and increasingly use AI to decide what to do with the data flowing between them, not just move it. In 2026 all three added native AI agent capability: natural-language workflow creation, AI-driven routing/classification of incoming requests, and connections to LLMs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini) as steps inside a workflow. For a PMO, this category is less about a single AI feature and more about removing manual, repetitive administrative work - for example, automatically creating a project record from an approved intake form, notifying stakeholders when a risk is logged, or routing a status report to the right distribution list - freeing PMO analysts for higher-value governance and advisory work.
